PVC Material
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a thermoplastic polymer available in rigid and flexible versions. To be used, PVC resin must be mixed with additives by compounders. After processing, these mixtures produce PVC compounds (flexible or rigid, with various properties), generally in powder or granular form.

SUSPENSION PVC
PVC is a thermoplastic polymer obtained from the polymerisation of vinyl chloride, derived from oil or natural gas. Its manufacture involves cracking the oil or gas to produce ethylene, chlorine and caustic soda. These compounds react to form vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), which is then polymerised with initiators and additives to produce PVC.

EMULSION PVC
VCM, which is not water-soluble, requires auxiliary additives for uniform dispersion in water. Emulsion polymerization, the traditional method, uses water-soluble initiators such as peroxides. This process can be conducted continuously or in batches, with batch processes requiring approximately 1% emulsifier and continuous processes needing 2.5 to 3.0%. Emulsifiers like alkyl sulfonates or ammonium salts of fatty acids remain in the PVC after drying, resulting in the formation of E-PVC.

COMPOUND PVC
The PVC compound is a blend of PVC resin with additives, plasticizers, stabilizers, and fillers. These components enhance flexibility and impact resistance, while stabilizers improve heat stability and weather resistance.
